Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Education Specialist for the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center (FXB Center) in the Rutgers School of Nursing. Under the direction of the Director of National Training, The Education Specialist will develop, facilitate, and evaluate education and capacity development activities for healthcare providers related to HIV and HIV-related comorbidities.
Facilitates HIV communities of practice and other distance-learning sessions.
Designs and implements learning strategies which reflect adult learning theory.
Participates in the organization of and presentation for conferences and workshops, and in the writing of manuscripts for peer reviewed journal publication.
Completes process and outcomes evaluation.
Serves as a consultant on nursing care.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education.
At least three (3) years of nursing experience, which include experience in nursing education.
Experience with the development of healthcare provider curricula and training materials.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of issues faced by high HIV-prevalence populations in New Jersey and the U.S.
Excellent writing skills, including grant report writing skills.
Strong communication skills with an ability to positively represent the FXB Center in multiple settings.
Will require travel throughout New Jersey. This is a grant funded position.
