Under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Patient Service Representative is responsible for appointment scheduling, insurance verification, assisting with online registrations, monitors and works the scheduling work queue and securing authorization for scheduled services. Provides coverage for front desk or authorization staff as required. Provides support and communication for patients, monitoring the timeliness of providers. Participates in numerous open forums including Key User Meetings, Service Center Team Meetings, and others as assigned. Performs other related administrative support tasks as assigned.
Three (3) years previous related experience in a large complex healthcare setting.
Proven knowledge of third party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.
Demonstrated computer skills/ability to work between multiple systems during calls.
Possess excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in an interactive environment.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Experience in a fast-paced, multi-specialty clinic.
Authorization and registration experience.
Urgent or Primary Care experience.
EPIC, ORSOS, PCIS, and IDX experience.

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Possible overtime.
Must be willing and able to float to other locations as requested.
