The Political Science department in the School of Social Sciences at UC Irvine seeks a highly motivated, self-starter to provide assistance to the MSO, Chair, faculty, students, programs and initiatives. Please, join us!The Political Science Department is comprised of 30 senate faculty, 10 non-senate lecturers, 893 undergraduate students and 66 PhD students with approximately 35-40 Teaching Assistants per quarter. As Analyst of this highly productive and influential department, responsibilities include: financial administration; contracts and grants proposal preparation and submission for all graduate students; employment and salary administration; assistance in the academic personnel process of hires, merits and promotions; primary administrator for the graduate program and graduate student recruitment admissions process; back up administrator for the undergraduate program; space and facilities operations and daily administrative operations for faculty, staff and students in the Department of Political Science.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
