Leads the IT strategic planning process; engages with stakeholders across the office
Manages the office's technology portfolio, including day-to-day operations and support
Supervises three IT staff and serves as a primary vendor contact as needed
Partners with Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) to leverage centralized services and resources as appropriate, as well as manage applications and systems
Establishes and oversees local governance to determine priorities and allocate resources; participates in FAS committees, representing priorities and needs
Oversees and facilitates the design, costing, and implementation of projects to improve processes to enhance staff productivity and efficiency
Assesses and develops local IT policies and standards based on business and confidentiality needs
Optimizes and enables the office's adoption and use of HUIT-provided and office-specific technology (e.g., collaboration, communications, Slate, PowerFAIDS, document management); provides or identifies training opportunities
Serves as the local information security liaison to ensure compliance with HUIT and other standards; promotes best practices among staff.
Prepares, manages, and monitors the office's IT budget
In collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders, develops and implements business continuity for critical operations

At least eight years of progressively responsible management experience
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage organizational change
Experience with strategic planning and its successful transition to implementation and operations on time and within budget
Ability to build relationships and collaborate with a diverse set of internal and external constituencies
Prior supervisory experience managing and developing staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong customer-service focus and confidential data; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify interdependencies and anticipate potential impacts
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to articulate complex problems and possible approaches and interact with technical and non-technical staff at different levels
Strong understanding of IT services, support, and best practices; knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software, and equipment
Master's or professional degree in business, higher education, or IT management helpful
