This positionreports to the RSA Director and provides administrative, business and datamanagement support to the Office of Research Safety Affairs and the RadiationSafety Committee Board, including the RSA Director, Radiation Safety Officer,Bio Safety Officer, and other RSA staff.
Manages computerized databases containing hazardous material inventories, training records, lab inspections, fit testing, safety records, etc.
Generates standard and adhoc reports for regulatory reporting purposes to local, state, and federal agencies.
Calculates and records collection of campus data, including chemical inventories.
Coordinates campus wide safety training activities; notifies personnel of deficiencies and corrective actions and assists with onsite visits to labs.
Performs standard administrative duties such as maintaining department files and records according to standard regulations, handling departmental communications, ordering supplies, and other administrative duties of the department.
Performs business and financial functions such as processing vendor payments, invoices, creating service contracts and PO/requisitions for purchasing requests and processing department timesheets for payroll.
Prepares and formats documents such as meeting minutes, policies, and reports.
Schedules department and board meetings, reports proceedings, and coordinates approvals of research protocols.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
