This Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for:
Working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) role, a clinical expert who works as a mentor to support and educate staff at the bedside with a multitude of clinical needs from the novice to the expert.
Actively participating in new hire orientation, facilitating development of policies, procedures and guidelines for patient care management, and serving as a subject matter expert in all aspects of nursing care, including wound prevention and management.
Integrating knowledge, research findings, and experience to support the incorporation of evidence-based practice into excellent bedside nursing care.
Consulting and collaborating across all disciplines.
Providing leadership in practices, on committees, in quality improvement initiatives, and in research.
Working primarily Monday - Friday day shift with some schedule flexibility needed to meet occasional off-shift educational needs of staff and provide availability for staff support during periods of increased unit activity and for off-shift educational needs.
To qualify, you must have:
APN certification and licensure and excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
A minimum of 3 - 5 years of recent inpatient pediatric cardiovascular nursing experience or pediatric critical care experience.
Previous CNS experience and a background in clinical research are preferred.
