North Hennepin Community College, one of the largest and most diverse two-year colleges in Minnesota seeks an experienced professional to serve as an Unlimited, Full-time, Director of Perkins and Workforce Collalboration (MnSCU Academic Professional 3).
This positon provides provides leadership; ensure efficient and effective operations by establishing policies and procedures, which include program development, budget oversight, and data accountability for all Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming for NHCC and Hennepin West Consortium. The Director will be responsible for writing the annual Carl D. Perkins Grant application, meeting state and federal performance measures, managing consortium activities, and submitting the annual performance report. This position will facilitate and foster relationships in order to create collaborative activities with area organizations for promoting college and work readiness skills development services to underrepresented and underserved student populations. This position collaborates across campus with deans, faculty, staff and other departments to ensure the development of innovative programming, curriculum design, and student support programming, and development. Other collaborations include working with the various CareerForce centers, area high schools, and businesses to promote programs of study.
Two years of experience managing budgets of over $500,000.
Experience with program development, program assessment and management skills, collaborative leadership skills, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and human relations skills.
Demonstrated experience working with college faculty and staff.
Ability to understand and communicate a variety of strategies for academic and job skill development for careers while working with a diverse population of students, staff, administration, and faculty in educational systems.
Demonstrated grant writing experience.
Demonstrated experience working with secondary education professionals, students, parents and community members in developing an exceptional and honest relationship of open communication with the individuals involved.
Ability to provide leadership and direction for CTE advisors and mentors.
Clear understanding of state and federal law, statutes, policies and procedures as it relates to the Carl D. Perkins grant, MnSCU, and higher education.
Two years of experience managing budgets of over $500,000, working with secondary school leaders to create dual credit or concurrent enrollment programs.
Strong commitment to creating career pathways for students to develop transition plans that focus on programs of study that lead to high skill, high wage, high demand jobs.
Evidence of building strong, long term, relationships with industry, K-12, and community partners.
Knowledge of current research and innovative CTE programming sufficient to develop and integrate student support programming that increases student retention and completion.
Ability to implement research methodologies and use data to evaluate program effectiveness.
Continuous quality improvement and data analysis methods.

Salary: Beginning Salary $22.92/hourly ($47,857/annually) - $33.62/hourly ($70,199/annually) depending on education and years of related experience.
