Duties Description: Works independently, possesses in-depth knowledge and is able to convincingly recommend improvements to the projects, proposals and publications. Guides day to day operations, receiving guidance and oversight by PI. Responsible for overseeing interrelated research projects.
Develops new avenues of investigation and writes literature reviews and manuscripts. Assists in drafting proposals to procure research funding. Identifies and applies integrative solutions to technologies and processes and understands the smallest details of a defined area.
Required Qualifications: Doctorate degree and strong publication record
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biophysics, Genetics, Microbiology or related field, with specialized knowledge of RNA structural biology and epigenetic modification and a passion for science writing. Experience in bioinformatics and NextGen data analysis is a plus. Individuals who are self-motivated with solid virology and biophysics background.
