Ball State University’s Office of Facilities Planning and Management invites applicants for a Director of Engineering. Responsibilities include; develop assigned design projects from client contact and design development through construction drawings, specifications and provide construction management, including all necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of the development and remodeling of all university facilities; compile, correlate, and maintain energy consumption data for all campus facilities; provide recommendations for energy conservation.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related engineering field from an accredited college or university. At least ten years of experience; applicable design experience; supervisory experience. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design, structure and architectural principles, and EPA/OSHA regulations, fire and safety codes, and building codes as required; ability to complete professional quality construction drawings and specifications; registered to practice in the state of Indiana or ability to register through reciprocity; ability to use CAD.

Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
