Assists in processing grants and contracts and establishing grant accounts.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with PI to prepare grant and study budgets, enters documentation, route for approvals, and establishes multi-disciplinary research project control.
Maintains files on grant, clearing overdrafts and providing supporting documentation for approval and tracking.
Authorizes expenses on grant studies and related departmental or project study accounts.
Enters and approves on line documents in FIS, i.e., PO’s, travel, orders, bills and invoices.
Processes records, checks, reimbursements, and vouchers on established accounts.
Working knowledge of standard accounting procedures;
Ability to utilize computerized accounting systems, knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
Ability to plan and organize work in an effective manner in order to meet timelines and goals.
