The Pharmacy Senior Technician-Prior Authorization position will provide insurance benefits investigation services for discharge prescriptions, clinic orders, and infusion orders; properly identify patients' pharmacy and medical insurance; work with physicians, nursing, case management, and pharmacists regarding clinical matters and medication access; preparation, submission, and follow-up of prior authorizations; and negotiate with payers for medical or pharmacy overrides for emergency dispensations when possible. This position requires providing optimal customer service to patients and medical teams when conducting estimates for copays and coinsurance.
This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Registration, PTCB Registration
Associate or Bachelor's degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
