Support and enhance the research and outreach capacity of the Hazards & Vulnerability Research Institute (HVRI).
The GIS Manager is responsible for all aspects of developing and maintaining HVRI geographic information systems (GIS) databases, web resources, and related applications. The position's duties include overseeing data management, systems administration, application development, technical consulting, training, and data analysis. This role provides advanced technical leadership in the form of database planning, design and development of geospatial products, architecture analysis, data migration, data management, application design, website development, and strategic planning as well as creating and enforcing requirements and best practices for current and future HVRI projects and grants.
This position is established in support of expanded research activities.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in geographic information systems, computer science, geography, or related field plus three plus years of GIS related experience.
