The Precollege Programs is seeking a Coordinator-Talented & Gifted Program (TAG). This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.
This position is located in the Precollege Programs unit part of the Enrollment Management at Oregon State University and reports to the Director of Precollege Programs. Provides oversight and leadership for the Talented and Gifted Youth Program (TAG), including development of program strategic plan in alignment with unit strategic plan; implementation and evaluation of program goals in alignment with unit goals and policies. Direct delivery of TAG programming to students; coordinates all TAG program offerings, recruits presenters; supervises educational activities and leads initiatives related to educational equity for minoritized and underrepresented youth; acquires external funding through grant proposals and program fees (this is a self-funded program); supervises student workers and/or other program assistants.

Typically requires Bachelor's Degree in field relevant to program focus. May require certification or licensure as appropriate to the position.
A Bachelors' degree and 5 years of experience in administering TAG or similar programs.
Experience with grant writing, funding development and budget management.
Proficiency with use of computer, word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the Criminal History Check Requirement.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030 et seq.
Most of the work is a typical office environment, working on the computer, attending meetings, etc. There is evening and weekend work during some of the program delivery. Lifting involves moving materials and boxes to classrooms across campus or to off campus sights.
