OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon, is seeking an Employment & Internship Coordinator. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE, fixed term professional faculty position. This position serves as part of the Career Development Center team and will contribute substantially to the growth of opportunities for students in Central Oregon, and develop new and innovative ideas and programs at an establishing university. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director of Enrollment Services & Student Success.
The successful candidate profile includes experience initiating, building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external constituents as well as strong organizational skills and ability to successfully coordinate programs and events.
This position works to further develop existing relationships and build new relationships with local and regional employers and community agencies with the intent to expand career-type employment and internship opportunities for OSU-Cascades students and alumni. The person in this role will manage the on-line job board, and collect and analyze data on the local job market and student engagement to develop campus-wide reports. They will support students seeking both academic and non-academic internships in collaboration with faculty, staff and community partners, and coordinate career fairs, events and programs for students. The Internship and Employment Coordinator will report directly to the Career Development Coordinator.
OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon, is a branch campus of Oregon State University. Established in 2001, the university currently enrolls more than 1,200 students in bachelor's and master's degree programs. The campus expanded to a four-year university in 2015, opened its 10-acre campus in fall 2016, and the Oregon legislature approved additional funding in 2017 and 2018 for continued campus expansion, which is currently in progress. The branch campus has ambitious enrollment goals to reach 3,000 students and is engaged in building a culturally diverse and community-centric educational environment.

At least two years of professional experience in career services, internship coordination, employer relations, human resources, alumni relations, recruiting or related field. Demonstrated success in developing and stewarding relationships across organizations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong planning and organization skills with attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to work both as a member of a team and independently. Commitment and demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Proficiency in a variety of computer and web based programs and databases. Demonstrated ability to work both as a member of a team and independently.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
This position requires some weekend and evening work and occasional travel, as dictated by business needs for various campus or off-site events.
Additional Salary Information: Starting salary range is anticipated to be $47,606 - $52,618 and will be commensurate with skills, education, and experience.
