This includes but is not limited to tasks such as:
rooming and assisting patients, providing assistance and/or complete transfers and set up for treatment and functional mobility skills.
assisting our various specialty programs including aquatics, neuro rehab, cancer rehab and mens’/womens’ health
preparing equipment for treatment, ordering and stocking of supplies, contacting and assisting with scheduling patients as needed
performing routine checks of modalities and general maintenance, as well as cleaning of equipment and entire clinic space for the health and safety of all and regulatory compliance
data collection, assisting in research and communication
This position also involves sharing responsibility for orientation and supervision of volunteers.
high school diploma or an equivalent of education and experience is necessary
computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint) as well as effective verbal and written communication skills are also required.
the ability to independently initiate and follow through on job duties as well as daily physical demands for the direct care of patients.
strong organizational skills and flexibility
clear, courteous etiquette and social comfort when working with patients and someone who enjoys being part of a team
some experience working with patients in occupational/physical therapy or a desire to do so in the future
able to enthusiastically and appropriately interact with people from all backgrounds
Our greatest need is currently afternoon and evening hours. (clinic hours are 7AM-7PM M-Th, 7AM-5PM Fridays).
