Required Minimum Quals:
Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling 5 years. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.

The Center for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE) and the Microelectronics Research Center (MRC) at Iowa State University is seeking applications for an Administrative Specialist II or III to serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the Center for Nondestructive Evaluation and as the executive assistant to the Director.
The Administrative Specialist will be responsible for attending, planning, coordinating a number of special events, including onsite sponsor meetings held each spring and fall, regularly scheduled seminars, short courses, and other workshops and meetings. Responsibilities will also include contributing to routine center operations, gathering and tracking information required for various reports, general office management, and supervising clerical staff.
In addition, the Administrative Specialist III would be responsible for overseeing the policy development and implementation on behalf of the center. This would include collaboration with centerâs senior leadership on the creation and editing of policies and processes. Additionally, this position will independently interface with a wide range of external organizations to facilitate communications and liaising with internal ISU entities. This position will be responsible for the coordination and planning with external entities and organizations in preparation for meetings involving multiple organizations.
