The Research Assistant will work on studies related to lung disease. S/he will assist PIs with the planning and implementation of several NIH and industry funded studies.
Conduct screening and enroll subjects for clinical research study by telephone and/or in-person.
Conduct study visits and administer questionnaires/diaries per protocol.
Collect, process, and assist in the compilation and verification of research samples and/or specimens.
Complete and maintain case report forms, review documents for completeness and accuracy, and assist with adverse event reporting.
Perform data entry and assist with routine data verification and quality control, ensuring data integrity and consistency with prescribed study protocol.
Interact with study sponsors, CROs, IRB and FDA.
Maintain accurate and detailed logs of work and perform additional related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.
Phlebotomy training and/or experience
The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made.
Participation in the medical surveillance program
Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
Wear N-95 respirator
Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
Successful completion of applicable systems training requirements
