REGISTERED NURSE , MIT Medical , to provide nursing care to the patient population of an assigned service area. Will provide direct patient care according to age-specific plans of care that is within the scope of practice of a registered nurse; conduct telephone and waiting room triage; and provide health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals or services at MIT medical.
MIT Medical is an accredited ambulatory care center serving the health and wellness needs of the MIT community.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : graduation from an accredited nursing program; current RN license in Massachusetts; CPR certification; at least three years' experience as an RN in pediatrics, women's health, or a family medicine ambulatory clinic or private practice setting; fluency with EMR systems, Cerner preferred; and experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access). Must be able to summarize and communicate, in English, moderately complex information orally and in writing; demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices, and policies and use them in complex, varied situations; collaborate with providers, medical assistants, patient service representatives, and other key stakeholders to ensure patients receive optimal clinical care; attend clinical meetings. Provide high-level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations; resolve service issues in a timely and respectful manner; respond to patient phone calls within twenty-four hours (received during normal business hours); and easily access data, interpret age-specific needs, and provide nursing care in collaboration with others.
