Job Description Summary
The Associate Director of Graduate Admissions Operations is responsible for managing the daily operations for the Graduate Admissions Office in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS). This position serves as the primary contact for SEAS gradate recruitment activities; assists departments with all aspects of CollegeNet, creates and executes annual recruitment plan; conducts ongoing follow up with prospective students and serves on University level graduate admissions committees.
The Associate Director of Graduate Admissions Operations will:
Manage three (3) full time enrollment specialists.
Collaborate with the Deputy Dean and Associate Dean to create an annual recruitment plan; serve as primary contact for all SEAS recruitment activities; attend college fairs and other graduate recruitment events; partner with departments to execute online information sessions in the fall and spring to attract and inform prospective students; manage the web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System module of CollegeNet for all perspective graduate admissions inquiries.
Coordinate with departments and graduate staff to plan and implement recruiting activities such as PhD Open House and PhD Visit Weekend.
Serve as liaison to graduate departments within SEAS for CollegeNet issues.
Maintain SEAS Graduate Admissions website and monitor data to help inform follow-up marketing activities; hold chats for prospective applicants.
Run weekly and monthly admissions statistical reports; report and analyze data and present at monthly graduate coordinator meetings.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred; 5-7 years of progressively responsible recruitment experience in higher education highly desired;
Minimum 3-5 years experience in marketing and/or admissions particularly graduate education, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Minimum 3-5 years experience hiring, training and supervising staff;
Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, organize, analyze and interpret data;
Demonstrated project management and strategic planning skills;
Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to establish priorities and work independently;
Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills;
Knowledgable computer skills including knowledge of admissions platform and CRM;
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
