The UVA Financial Analyst position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and performs an important role within the team providing central support for financial accounting and reporting functions.
The incumbent applies generally accepted accounting principles and procedures in working with specialized accounting records and reports, assembles and analyzes data, transactional details, prepares journal entries, financial statements, and reports relating to their assigned areas of responsibility. The candidate also assists in the implementation of new GASB pronouncements and participates in special projects as assigned.
The person acts as the lead system administrator and functional lead for Recon@ an enterprise wide tool supporting fiscal reconciliation compliance. This position will actively participate within the Finance Strategic Transformation efforts.
