The Communication Consultant 2 reports to the Administrative Specialist in the College of Education and Professional Studies and is the communications and marketing specialist for the College of Education and Professional Studies. The position maintains and develops all online media, acts as primary editor for newsletters, creates various multi-media elements as needed, maintains and produces all college publications, builds the video and photography library, and develops the college social media community. This position will also work with all academic departments within the college. A primary work assignment will be to work with the ITAM department.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or related field AND two years of writing/editing or design/communication experience OR an equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Office Suite software and/or similar software applications
Detail oriented with exceptional proofing skills
Experience with photography, video production, and graphic design
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
Information technology experience
Knowledge of Drupal web interface
Experience with conducting and monitoring press proofs
