This position will assist the Ice Rink Manager with the management of the day-to-day operations of the Ice Rink and Pro Shop facilities and is directly responsible for the management of pro shop operations and group lesson program. Hires, trains, manages and provides professional development for part-time staff. Is held accountable for the professional development of the part-time staff.
Assists rink manager in the implementation of the preventative maintenance plans and business strategies for ice maintenance, programming and pro shop operations. Implement and provide up-to-date records and service requests for the pro shop. Manages inventory, cash handling, purchasing and receipts. Supervises part-time staff and guest experience elements by being onsite and interacting with staff, clients, and guests at most events to ensure that the highest standards of service are met.
Collaborates and communicates with numerous athletic department areas and campus partners including facility operations, athletics game day operations staff and parking partners to ensure the successful presentation of events & daily activities. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraces and innovation is encouraged.
High School Graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience; mechanical knowledge and ability to operate large equipment.
Some experience or training in ice rink operations; customer service experience; college degree.
Target Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly
