The Program Coordinator for the Volunteer Engagement team will take initiative to lead and provide support on a variety of event, outreach and engagement opportunities designed to help enhance experiences for key stakeholders of The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James).
In collaboration with advancement and campus partners, the Coordinator is responsible for complex and integrated projects and building efficiencies around communications and marketing efforts, events, and reporting to reach advancement goals, ensuring effective strategy, delivery and content accuracy. This person anticipates needs and readily adapts to different priorities and people. Specific duties include: assisting with event preparations, event logistics and day of coordination, preparing donor research profiles and development briefings, analyzing and recording data to guide and track outreach efforts and event attendance as well as developing and implementing an effective communications plan surrounding the James Foundation Board, James Ambassadors Society and NextGen volunteer groups such as bi-weekly e-communications, event handouts, a volunteer toolkit, and managing each group's social media accounts.
Reporting to the Director of Volunteer Engagement, the Coordinator operates with a high degree of organization, attention to detail, creativity and resourcefulness. They are expected to demonstrate superior customer service in a fast-paced environment, possess strong volunteer management, multi-tasking, time management and excellent communication skills (both written and oral) allowing for result oriented and positive customer service with both internal and external constituents, computer competency and highly developed knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.

Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; one year of professional experience in customer service, administrative support, event planning or related role.
Two years of professional experience in healthcare development, volunteer management, events or higher education.
Target Salary: $47,500.00 - $50,000.00 Annually
