The University of Iowa (UI) College of Nursing seeks applicants for open rank tenure-track or tenured faculty positions. As a major research university, we are well positioned to support faculty candidates who have developing or strong programs of research in our specific areas and who can effectively contribute to the teaching needs of the college.
Areas of research excellence in the College of Nursing include gerontology; health systems improvement; and pain, palliative care and symptom management. Emerging areas of emphasis include management of chronic conditions and health promotion in at-risk populations. Cross cutting approaches include applied genomics/omics/biomarkers, health information technology and community engagement. Applications will be considered in all areas and across populations.
As a leader in nursing education, research, and practice innovations, the UI College of Nursing has received national recognition by U.S. News & World Report ranking seven of its graduate programs in the top 15 in the nation (in comparison to all public and private schools).
