Responsible for maximizing group ticket sales for football and men’s basketball home games. The Group Sales Account Executive will also have some responsibility for season ticket sales and other ticket sales products through outbound and inbound telesales efforts, and meetings with customers in the sales office and at client locations. Meet and exceed assigned sales goals.
Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Achieve assigned sales goals for football and men’s basketball tickets through outbound telesales calls.Complete any/all call campaigns.
Work every home football game (estimated at seven per season) and the majority of men’s basketball home games (expectation is to work 14-15 of an estimated 17-18 games per season)
Receive inbound sales calls and increase sales through “up-selling” of customers.
Attend department meetings (ticket sales meetings, sales training, Town Hall and other meetings.
Conduct calls for specific department-related drives i.e., Wildcat Fund donation drive, football bowl game ticket sales drive, basketball postseason ticket sales drive, etc.
When assigned, attend athletic department and university events to engage potential customers, answer questions, and promote football and basketball tickets sales.Schedule and coordinate events as requested.Proactively attend business and/or social networking functions throughout the year to promote Northwestern Athletics, distribute business cards and gather sales leads.
Track all correspondence with customers via CRM software.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: (Education and experience)
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as marketing, business administration, or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
Minimum of two years’ experience in direct sales with a proven track record in generating sales preferred
Experience working with CRM systems such as ACT, Goldmine, Salesforce.com, Microsoft CRM, etc. preferred
Experience working with ticketing systems (Paciolan preferred) preferred
Prior sales experience in a telesales organization preferred
Experience in tickets sales, telemarketing, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques along with a proven record of sales achievements preferred.
Proven track record in ticket sales preferred.
