The Rock Deformation Laboratory in the department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences seeks a postdoctoral research scientist to study the mechanics of faulting. The researcher will conduct deformation experiments on natural and/or synthetic fault rock using a triaxial deformation apparatus, and will also participate in field studies of exhumed fault zones. We seek a candidate with experience working in a deformation laboratory, and with triaxial deformation apparatus in particular.
