Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Secretary II for the Adult Partial Hospital Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The Secretary II provides secretarial and administrative services to Unit.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Completes typing assignments with 90-95% accuracy.
Ensures completion of typing assignments in accordance with established department format.
Ensures payroll timesheets are completed with 90-95% accuracy and submits payroll.
Greets patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous fashion.
Handles telephone calls in a professional and helpful manner.
Maintains an accurate filing system to meet the needs of the Unit.
Maintains office supplies and equipment necessary for efficient functioning of Unit.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited program in secretarial studies plus three (3) years of full-time secretarial experience.
An additional year of experience is required in lieu of the secretarial program.
Experience college credits may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for secretarial experience. Up to sixty (60) credits may be substituted for two (2) years of secretarial experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in typing and word processing skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft and procurement policies and procedures.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
