The postdoctoral researcher will conduct research and implement initiatives aligned with the goals of Syracuse University's NEH Next-Generation Humanities PhD planning project, which seeks to diversify career preparation for doctoral students in the humanities. Research will focus on best practices and emerging approaches at peer institutions, and on the experiences of current Syracuse University PhD students and alumni. The postdoctoral researcher will also work to implement the planning committee's recommendations in the areas of professional development programming, curricular innovation, alumni mentoring, and dissertation format options.
