The Department of Mathematics at the University of Dayton seeks applicants for three full-time, annually renewable, benefits-eligible lecturer positions in mathematics. The typical teaching load is twelve credit hours per semester. Courses include mathematics courses for business and non-STEM majors, precalculus, and calculus courses for life science, physical science, and engineering majors.

Master’s degree in mathematics by July 1, 2020, or completion of all coursework for a doctorate in mathematics by July 1, 2020 (dissertation may or may not be completed).
Effective written communication skills.
Potential to become an effective teacher of mathematics courses.
Doctorate in mathematics.
Teaching experience in the North American system of higher education.
Successful experience as the primary instructor of college-level mathematics classes.
Successful experience as the primary instructor of college-level statistics classes.
Ability to present material clearly and effectively in the classroom.
Ability to successfully employ active learning strategies to foster and maintain student engagement.
Commitment to the effective use of learning resources, including technology, to enhance student learning of mathematics and statistics.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with an increasingly diverse campus community.
