The School of Nursing (SON) invites applications for the position of School Director to lead the SON. This is a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track appointment at the associate or full professor level. Rank is commensurate with experience. The Director is the chief academic and administrative officer of the SON, reports directly to the Dean of CHHS and represents the School on the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) Executive Council. The position demands an energetic leader who is passionate about teaching/learning, scholarship, students, and all aspects of Nursing practice.
The Director of the SON is responsible for leading and managing the school activities related to provision of all levels of nursing education; advancing innovative educational programs which address the nursing shortage; assuring compliance with the broad scope of standards/requirements for various regulatory agencies, including the CCNE and COA; representing the school with diverse constituencies; advancing the reputation and visibility of the School locally, nationally, and internationally and directing the school's activities related to fulfilling the vision, mission and strategic plan of the school, CHHS and university.
