Position in the newly established School of Nursing for a Registered Nurse with expertise in nursing education and provision of direct care for children and adults who require treatment of acute and chronic behavioral health conditions across the health-illness continuum in the context of family and community. The successful candidate will teach courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition, the candidate is expected to pursue scholarly research leading to publications in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals and present at conference proceedings; increase the visibility of the Schoolâ™s programs; serve on school, and university-level committees; advise students; interact with local community agencies, health care organizations, and media; participate in curricular review and development activities; and contribute to accreditation processes.Â Â
Required: A doctoral degree, masters of science in nursing, and baccalaureate degree. Candidates must currently hold or be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey. Demonstrated aptitude for or evidence of excellence in teaching. Â Preferred: National certification or eligibility for certification in education or clinical specialty of behavioral health. Previous experience as a full-time faculty member; evidence of scholarly activities in a defined specialty.Â We are seeking candidates who demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with socially, culturally, and economically diverse communities; commitment to interprofessional education, social justice, democratic and inclusive practice, and critical thinking.
