Information and Technology Services (ITS) has a rewarding opportunity for two (2) high-performing Training Specialists Intermediate. These positions reports to the Assistant Director of IT Professional Development and will support the newly-created department of Organizational Development within ITS Administration. This new department is responsible for driving professional development assessment, goals, and developing materials that support the ongoing professional development of ITS employees and customers receiving products and services from ITS.
These roles will create, design, and deliver employee development training that involves development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional design and training, and communication plans, materials, and vehicles. The delivery of this training may be in person, e-learning, videos, or other delivery mechanisms.

You will have at least two (2) years of instructional design and curricula development, a minimum of two (2) years of training experience and excellent written and verbal communication. You will have experience with video production, a demonstrated ability to learn new software, understand technical information, and communicate it to others using clear, concise, and user-friendly language.
Works with some direction to create employee development training that involves design, development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional design training, and communication plans and materials
Produce training materials that include e-learning courses and videos in a training setting to include video editing techniques, video content creation, and scripting
Create, design, and deliver training including in person, online and video productions
Actively supports and coordinates with team members and other support groups to effectively meet the demands and organizational needs for instructional design deliverables
Following established standards and methodology, designs and develops course curriculum, training deliverables, programs and communication plans to meet determined objectives, including but not limited to documentation; simulations; e-learning courses; videos; and website content
Ensures training and communications are delivered successfully, including presentation delivery, material production, room set-up and registration
Evaluates options for external trainers, coordinating third party training events
Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, administration, information technology or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience
Minimum of two (2) years in a training role providing in person and online including analyze business processes; apply instructional design methods and theories; and, develop training curricula, user documentation, and/or communications programs, while demonstrating exemplary writing and editing skills
Demonstrated ability to assess and learn new software quickly, understand technical information and communicate to others using clear, concise, and user-friendly language
Demonstrated ability to produce training materials that include e-learning courses and videos in a training setting to include video editing techniques, video content creation, and scripting
Demonstrated experience in a training or related role requiring confidentiality, timeliness, customer service, organization, prioritization, troubleshooting, and working independently
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics effectively to groups, using visual aids as needed, varying style to fit the audience
Demonstrated ability to apply new skills/knowledge to the job and provide training
Demonstrated successful performance with giving presentations to both small and large audiences
Exemplary writing, proofreading, and editing skills
Effective verbal communication skills including strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively through all levels of management and staff
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers in a manner that consistently meets the organization’s expectations for service excellence
Ability to contribute and collaborate effectively as a member of a highly-functioning and productive team
Certified Professional in Learning and Performance or related certification
At least one (1) year of experience in video production
Experience with client relationship management, process mapping and improvement and project management
