This position will be filled at the Intermediate level salary range of $57,692 - $82,500 as the primary goal. The requirements listed below reflect the Intermediate level expectation. Information and Technology Services (ITS) has an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce Application / Integration Developer as we build a Center of Excellence within ITS to serve the entire campus. You will work on the Salesforce Center of Excellence team in Enterprise Application Services reporting to the Director of Enterprise Application Services.
The Developer's role is to work with business partners and help the university to realize the full capability of the Salesforce CRM. You'll be responsible for development of integrations, configurations, extensions and customizations. The Salesforce Developer will also work on detailed design, development, testing, and code management in various Salesforce orgs on campus. Work will be on highly visible Salesforce initiatives across the university. The role will include building applications on the Force.com platform and supporting integrations with Salesforce.

Work with Salesforce Administrators across the University of Michigan in support of the multiple Salesforce Orgs on campus
Ensure service level availability of the Force.com platform, application build-outs and integrations and provide support for break / fix / enhancement activities to resolve application / integration issues
Implement customer-based solutions and develop products on the Force.com platform using Apex and Visual Force
Assist with the planning of application changes, development, and installation of upgrades and new releases
Integrate multiple systems with Salesforce, including internal proprietary and third party applications
Assist in developing customer-driven solutions utilizing strong technical design skills and strong working relationships with internal groups
Work with Business Systems Analysts in the COE to guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised processing analysis
Develop, document and enforce application standards and procedures
Bachelor’s degree required - Computer Science, MIS or equivalent
Familiarity with Services Oriented Design Principles (SOA), developing on software platforms, data integrations and Web Services
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar developer role
Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities
