Advertised Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to develop and facilitate effective mental health promotion trainings, educational programs, and mental health screenings for the UofSC campus community. Under the general supervision of the associate Director of Mental Health Initiatives, this individual coordinates, plans, implements and evaluates primary prevention training and educational activities related to suicide prevention, positive mental health promotion, and resiliency. Participates in the development of strategic plans, goals and measurable objectives for mental health initiatives, including meeting the objectives of grant-funded projects. Collaborates with departmental colleagues and campus partners to plan, implement and evaluate theory- and evidence-informed prevention strategies designed to promote behavior change as related to these issues, Develop relationships and programming for target audiences, specifically those identified through our SAMHSA Garrett Lee Smith grant: veterans, LGBTQ students, male students, underrepresented students, under-resourced students, and international students. Trains, directs and supervises others performing various tasks associated with the delivery of programs and services, including faculty/staff, students, graduate assistants/interns and peer educators.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree in health education, health promotion, or related field and 2 year experience or bachelor's degree in health education, health promotion or related field and 4 years related experience.
