To provide highly skilled administrative support service to Public Drinking Water Division.
Provides administrative support to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) administrator related to TCEQ functions, programs and policies. Interprets administrative decisions and policies. Reviews and enters data; reviews and runs monthly operating reports. Performs highly complex quality assurance/quality control of process and staff workloads. Tracks department workload, productivity and backlog, and provides monthly reports to upper management. Trains and mentors staff members as needed. Supervise departmental support staff. Arranges meetings, conferences and workshops; prepares agendas; and takes meeting minutes. Serves as administrative liaison with other departments on TCEQ campus and outside organizations and agencies concerning administrative policies, procedures and practices. Performs filing and coding; transfers documents to central file room. Performs other duties assigned.
Bachelor’s degree. Two (2) years upper level secretarial experience with six (6) years of increasingly responsible administrative, secretarial and clerical or the equivalent experience.
