The Boston University Questrom School of Business invites applications for the position of Professor of the Practice in Management. Pending Provost budgetary approval, the anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2020. Professor of the Practice appointments are reserved for distinguished practitioners in their profession who seek a transition to teaching or service leadership that advances the University and School. We seek two qualified individuals to serve in this capacity.
The Questrom School of Business is looking for thought leaders who can complement our faculty's excellence in academic research and classroom teaching, and help drive the transformation of business education we believe is necessary to remain relevant and competitive in the new economy. We seek individuals with high-level world-class expertise in corporate or marketing strategy and organizational leadership and the desire and ability to translate this experience and perspective into our degree programs, academic initiatives, and executive teaching. Expertise in our sector emphasis areas of digital business, analytics, social impact/sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation, and health is a plus. We expect these individuals to play a leadership role in shaping how we introduce and execute experiential learning by engaging with companies on real-world problems and developing productive stakeholder relationships that inform "business research that matters" at the School.

Leadership of, and teaching engagement in, executive education programs and the Executive MBA
Leadership of global partnerships to advance Questrom programs and student learning experiences
Leadership of online and hybrid learning initiatives and business models
Leadership and development of an interdisciplinary Institute focused on the Digital sector, with a primary responsibility to build Digital as a source of differentiation and competency at Questrom, with support from strong research, innovative curriculum and programs, productive stakeholder relationships, and a sustainable business model at the foundation.
