Position performs a variety of duties in support of F.D. Bluford Library as it pertains to government documents, serials, microform and accessing information. This support includes client/patron service and data/information/records/management. The application of standards, policies, and procedures is required of the position as well as the ability to pay attention to details and the effective use of systems and current technologies.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The mission of F.D. Bluford Library is to serve the informational needs of the students, faculty, and staff of North Carolina A&T State University in their pursuit of academic excellence and lifelong learning. The Library’s vision and core value statements emphasize equal access to learners (including distance learners), scholarly research, and lifelong learning are consistent with the University’s emphasis on scholarly research and continuous quality learning. The Government Documents, Serials, Learning Resources and Microform, under the Bibliographic Metadata Discovery Services Department, collects, organizes, and arranges government information, serials, microform items and weeds media in all formats. Assistance and instruction is provided in the use of these resources.

High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Completion of college and two years of experience as a library technician in an academic library setting.
