Musthave Family Support Specialist Certificate (CFSS)
JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assignedsupervisor, this position provides care to youth and families experiencingchallenges within the child-care system. Summarily, supports and assists youthand families navigate through child-serving systems and provides educationalsessions and training to families, community partners, and UTHSC staff.
Interviews youth and families to determine appropriate programs needed and assists them into program(s).
Guides and assists youth and families with appropriate educational, medical, and behavioral health systems resources/information.
Assists youth and families with access to necessary treatment and resources for resiliency and success in home, school, and community.
Provides youth and families with support and resource program services.
Helps youth and families maximize the benefits of appropriate programs and services.
Meets with youth and families in the community or school.
Assists with intervention services.
Follows-up on the status of youths, families, and agencies.
Completes referrals and enters necessary data into case management system.
Ensures educational sessions and trainings are provided to families, community partners, and UTHSC staff.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
