As a manager and leader within the Division of Student Affairs, the Registrar provides leadership to plan, organize and manage all activities related to records and registration including serving as the official authorized keeper of the College's student records. This individual will lead technology based initiatives designed to enhance student focused strategies that lead to continued enrollment and completion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize and administer the records, registration and graduation functions, including transcript evaluations, and scheduling.
Responsible for collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting of student records within FERPA guidelines. Develops and proposes written policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal laws and correct management of transcripts/records.
Oversee the reverse transfer process (develops policies, promotes to students, reviews the application and degree awarding).
Serve as the certifying official of the College in regard to transcripts, enrollment and degree verification.
Provide leadership in the implementation of technological solutions to support and enhance student services as they relate to areas of responsibility.
Work with Academic Affairs and Student Financial Services to produce and distribute accurate and timely course schedule information, withdrawal and late registration dates, and maximize the efficient use of instructional space.
Responsible for graduation audits and graduation processing. Assists in CAPP maintenance and updates related to graduation evaluation. Ensures timely graduation processing to assist advising and promote completion rates.
Handle all aspects of Commencement planning for the Office of Records, including but not limited to, ordering of diplomas, establishing Commencement Book lists, etc. and serves on Commencement Committee.
Research, analyze, and resolve student disputes as they relate to customer service, records, registration and graduation eligibility issues.
Hire, supervise and evaluate Enrollment and registrar staff, with a focus on ensuring a team that is adept at supporting diverse learners and focused on equitable opportunities for access and achievement.
Communicate with VP of Academic Affairs and academic deans to promote creative and flexible scheduling. Monitor available instructional space and scheduling needs, anticipate issues, and recommend necessary changes and improvements.
Oversee the development, measurement, and attainment of goals and objectives for area of responsibility.
Oversee the Evaluation of Transfer Credits for the institution for all programs. Develop an efficient process for evaluating incoming transcripts and communicate policies to the greater college community.
Serve on BIT, Curriculum Committee, Commencement Committee, Student Affairs Leadership Team, and other teams and working groups as assigned.

An earned master's degree and at least 5 years of higher education experience with enrollment, scheduling, registrar and related services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Community College experience preferred.
Supervisory experience required.
Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of student enrollment, records retention, FERPA, and compliance issues.
Advanced knowledge of technology as it relates to on-line registration, scheduling, and Student Information Systems i.e. Ellucian Banner. Strong knowledge of Microsoft products. Banner software experience a plus.
Working knowledge of data reporting tools (such as Cognos, Oracle Discoverer) and an ability to identify data needs and analyze reports.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong public relations skills.
Must have the ability to travel between campuses and work evenings and weekends for such events as Orientations, Open Houses, College Nights, and other community engagement, etc. Position is expected to provide leadership and oversight of staff on multiple campuses.
Budget management experience preferred.
