This position is in the Department of Student Services and Support for the School of Law at the Danforth Campus.
This position oversees all operational functions of the Office of Student Life, including hiring, training and supervising work-study students and temporary workers.� Plans and implements programs and initiatives through the Office of Student Life.� Provides administrative support to adjunct faculty.� This position is responsible for exam administration and also serves as a consultant to the Law School’s four student publications.�
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures that all core operational functions of the office are completed.� Trains, hires and supervises work-study students, and temporary office workers.
Supports student publications by consulting with student editors on the publication process, maintaining copyright permission files, monitoring annual budget expenditures, supporting the writing competitions and maintaining subscription lists, invoice and payment records.
Ensures accurate and timely completion of official state bar exam certification paperwork for all students and alumni sitting for a bar exam. Counsels students on questions related to the State Bar Exam certification paperwork and processes.
Provides administrative support to adjunct faculty.
Schedules make-up classes and review sessions.
Manages and updates student and alumni records and information dissemination process.
Develops and implements policies and procedures regarding exam administration, and oversees entire process.
Monitors and updates Office of Student Life materials, including the website and Bulletin.
Maintains welcoming environment for guests and general administrative duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma.
At least five years of office experience.
Computer experience (particularly Microsoft Word and Excel).
Data entry experience.
A college degree is preferred.
Prior experience in a university setting working with students.
Computer experience (Access, student information systems, etc.).
Exceptional organizational skills, with ability to discharge and execute multiple responsibilities.
Capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
Ability to serve and work with diverse constituencies.
Familiarity and understanding of FERPA.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Superior supervisory skills and experience.
The hiring range for this position is $19.18 - $24.47 per hour.
