The Pharmacology and Toxicology Department at Michigan State University (MSU) is seeking to fill the position of Specialist-Research-Fixed Term. This position will oversee and coordinate research and communication activities related to the MSU Drug Discovery Cores (In Vivo Facility, Assay Development and Drug Repurposing Core, and Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology Core).
Advise MSU Faculty, staff, and students on core capabilities and appropriate experimental design for studies involving MSU Drug Discovery Cores (ADDRC, Med Chem Core, and In Vivo Facility)
Identify and solicit contract work to the Drug Discovery Cores from both internal and external groups
Coordinate activities of research cores and assist in generation and routing of contract and grant agreement documents
Development of progress reports and news communication related to Drug Discovery Program
PhD in Pharmacology or other relevant biomedical discipline.
5 years of research lab experience and/or project management in in vivo approaches and drug discovery and development.
MSU leadership, industry, & public. Information about Drug Discovery Program news, successes, and opportunities for collaboration.
