The ASSET assistant project manager position assists the ASSET project manager with the development and deployment of competency-based, online and self-paced professional development experiences for in-service K-12 educators. The ASSET assistant project manager will be responsible for supervising part-time subject matter experts and full-time learning coaches, providing guidance and support with the quality assurance processes, coordinating with campus faculty in developing math related curricula and content, coordinating with multimedia staff related to content development, and developing assessments and learning activities for math related content in coordination with the assessment staff.
An advanced degree in education, cognitive science, educational research, instructional design or related field or equivalent education, experience, or training.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and work in a cooperative, agile, team-based environment.
Have taught or are currently teaching K-12 mathematics to co-develop math-related curricula, content, learning activities and assessments that follow best practices of online learning while also serving as an on-screen subject matter expert to teach content.
Proficiency with technology and technological resources to include, but not be limited to, online learning management systems and web page development.
Working knowledge of skills, tools, and processes used in the development and delivery of web-based training / e-Learning.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive organization topics and issues as well as maintain learner privacy.
Knowledge of project management tools such as Smartsheet and Basecamp.
Familiarity with learning management systems and online learning support.
Familiarity with learning science research and its application within online learning environments.
Familiarity with educational research methodologies and practices.
Experience working in a competency-based learning environment.
Experience teaching in a K-12 system.
Demonstrated success in working with internal and external partners.
Strong visioning and strategic planning abilities.
Demonstrated success in project management to include meeting established goals, objectives, milestones and deliverables.
