Assists in the management of a university dining unit within the Ohio Union which includes the Union Market, Espress-OH, a full-service coffee shop, and Woody’s Tavern; each unit may have multiple styles of service including; station dining, take-out cash style, coffee shop, and full service tavern; this operation serves approximately 3,500 students, staff and guests each day; supervises as many as 40 fulltime regular employees and 100 student staff; supervises the production and service of food to students, staff, guests, and special groups; manages inventory of food and related goods; responsible for service supervision and customer relations; responsible for meals being served in accordance with prescribed standards; responsible for overall performance management and supervision of employees; supervises the quality and quantity of food items produced; supervises inspection of incoming food and supplies; supervises the service staff; manages the student supervisors and the student personnel program; position requires availability to work weekends. This is a seasonal status position and will work during the academic year, with time off in the summer. The 2019-2020 seasonal period will end May 1, 2020. Will be eligible for benefits during the academic year, while in active employee status.

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Restaurant Management or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 to 5 years of management experience in retail foodservice; 1 to 3 years of direct supervisory experience; working knowledge of ServSafe Food and Sanitation principles; weekend work hours.
Experience working with HACCP principles; excellent written and oral communication skills; experience managing Classified Civil Service, bargaining union member employees, and Student staffs; experience in high volume retail or university type foodservice establishments.
Target Salary: $16.35 - $18.27 Hourly
