1)Develop and maintain human resources data assets, reporting and management dashboards, and analytical tools including support of conducting employee surveys and organizational assessments to support data-driven management strategies and strategic workforce planning objectives.
2)Create positions and job requisitions and in appropriate Human Capital Management system, Workday, utilizing the job description and other position information from the Sr. Human Resources Manager for Facilities Services.
3)Update applicant statuses based on information from the Sr. Human Resources Manager, usually following major decision points such as interviewee selection and final hiring decision.
4)Complete pre-hire steps necessary to bring the new employee on board and set-up access to systems.
5)Order background check and confirm results of background check.
6)Conduct professional reference checks.
7)Create UCAT account in order to generate Chicago ID.
8)Assist with Workday on-boarding and answer technical questions about on-boarding process.
9)Work with Facilities Services IT support team on business application set-up and coordination of access to University and unit specific systems.Â
10)Register employee for UChicago Orientation based on start date and soonest available orientation offering as well as conduct unit specific orientation.
11)Process certain job data changes, transfers and temp employee changes in Workday.
12)Check ERISA hours for non-benefits eligible employees to determine if they are close to max allotment.
13)Initiate â˜quick closureâ™ for terminations, when applicable as notified by Sr. Human Resources Manager.
14)Organize and coordinate employee pay adjustments and time card distribution.
15)Serve as system administrator for the time and attendance tracking system and respond to employee pay inquiries.
16)Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date human resources information in the form of databases, employee manuals, and individual personnel files.
17)Notify appropriate management if issues arise.
18)Oversee and establish procedures for paperwork completion, collection and record retention for following HR functional areas leave administration including Family Medical Leave, Short Term Disability, Long Term disability and other types of leaves of absences; performance management documents including annual and mid-year performance appraisals; recruitment files including requisition files and associated interview notes.
19)Provide support with department projects, including gathering requirements, collaborating with key stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
20)May develop and deliver standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, scorecards, and metrics.
21)Other duties as assigned.
