This position provides support to the events coordinator for 80+ on-ground and online SPS information sessions and other events for prospective students throughout the year. The position is highly detail-focused, requires an individual who has excellent organizational and time-management skills and is able to work in a performance-driven, results-oriented marketing environment. Position is for full-time.
Main responsibilities include assisting with event preparation tasks and follow-up, providing technical and logistics support at events, updating and executing electronic event communications in customer relationship management (CRM) software, and accurate collection of event metrics. Weekly schedule may vary based on events schedule and will include evening hours and some weekends.
Please note: Candidate should be able to lift 30 pounds. Evening and weekend hours required.
Represent SPS and its programs at information sessions, special events, industry events and educational fairs
Update department, school and other event calendars
Assist with set-up, clean up and maintenance of events (gather materials, create check-in lists, etc.)
Track collateral and giveaway item supplies
Update and create process documents detailing procedures for all event coordination tasks
Responsible for knowledge of all event tasks
Responsible for knowledge of all SPS program areas
Update and execute all electronic event communications (invites, reminders, thank you emails, etc.) utilizing customer relationship management software
Send event invitations to academic coordinators for distribution to current student population and other specified individuals per event type
Post events on SPS website
Update events expenses providing accurate budget reports
Collect attendance, RSVP, communications, and other event data and provide accurate reports for future event planning
Competitive Landscape Research
Conduct basic research on best-practices in events, collaterals, communications
Performs other duties as assigned.
College degree, or working toward the completion of an undergraduate degree.
1 year of professional work experience.
Previous experience working in higher education, professional services, event marketing, or other relevant fields.
