The Professional Science Master’s Program (PSM) is accepting applications for a full-time Instructor of Professional Practice. This position is non-tenure track, one-year renewable (calendar year).
The Instructor of Professional Practice will be responsible for instructing/co-instructing courses in the following concentrations: Drug Discovery and Development, Personal Care Science and other courses as needed.
Principal responsibilities include:
Instructing/co-instructing course(s) within the field(s) of Drug Discovery and Development, Personal Care Science, Life Science and other related fields for both the fall and spring terms.
Assist with curriculum development, conduct workshops when necessary, academic advising, review and provide constructive feedback to students, provide mentorship and counseling when necessary, as well as critical instruction regarding student work and academic standards.
Will be the Life Sciences Coordinator with the PSM program.
Adopt innovative educational practices
Participate in local and external service activities, which may include recruitment programs and any departmental, school, and university function.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Applicants for this position must have a Master’s degree in a related area (STEM field or a closely related field), and experience teaching or coordinating life science courses at the graduate level (teaching using online platforms preferred).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Applicants should have outstanding communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Ph.D preferred. Applicant with industrial experience and knowledge of employment in the fields listed above preferred. Experience with Professional Science Master’s Program is a plus.
