Job Description Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to coordinate a set of human immune profiling clinical research studies in a variety of clinical settings, within Dr. John Wherryâ™s research group. These studies are part of a new and exciting initiative with the Allen Institute for Immunology to broadly define human immune set point, response to perturbations such as immuno- and anti-inflammatory therapies as well as vaccination.
The Clinical Research Project Manager will be responsible for overall project management including regulatory, budgetary and clinical trial coordination, as well as supervisory duties for three core projects. Overall responsibilities include hiring, training and managing study personnel and tracking study-related documents and samples. They will also establish and maintain IRB protocols, develop and maintain patient recruitment strategies, optimize and confirm record keeping and sample collection/storage protocols.Â Specific responsibilities include:
Project Management- act as a liaison among the Principal Investigator/research team, clinical coordinators, and the funding agency to ensure goals and objectives are met according to set timelines.Assist in the hiring, training, management and evaluation of direct reports.
Clinical Trial Management- supervise clinical research staff who obtain patient consent, subject scheduling, abstraction of medical information from charts into study specific databases.
Regulatory- supervise staff in preparation, submission and monitoring of human subjects protocols and continuing reviews and other regulatory affairs.
Budgetary- help establish and monitor clinical trial budgets.
The successful candidate should have excellent time management and communication skills, be highly organized, and able to independently prioritize and coordinate multiple activities.
Position is contingent on funding.
Master's Degree and 3 to 5 years experience or equivalent combination of years and experience required.
