The field education coordinator is a part-time staff member for the MSW program. The field education coordinator reports to the field education director; assists to recruit agency field placement sites, works with students to coordinate field placement assignments, and assists to complete administrative duties of the field education office for the MSW program. The field education coordinator also collaborates with the field education director and interfaces with MSU's field education office, which includes providing routine reporting and data collection.
The field education coordinator provides support in the following areas:
Assisting with the recruitment of agency field placement sites.
Working with the field education director to review student field applications and coordinate student field placement assignments.
Responding to students questions about the field placement.
Troubleshooting with the field education director, field instructors and field seminar instructors about student problems that emerge at field placement sites.
Educating students, and field instructors about field policies and expectations.
Working with the field education director to facilitate orientations for students and field instructors.
Working with the field education director to develop the Seminar in Field Education (SIFI) course.
Working with the field education director to develop and deliver professional development workshops for students.
Assisting the field education director maintain field education documentation.
Assisting the field education director with the field evaluation process including data collection and data entry.
Other duties, as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program required.
Minimum of two years post-MSW professional experience.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Excellent time management skills with an ability to set and meet deadlines.
Creative, innovative, and strategic thinking as well as the ability to work independently and with faculty and graduate students.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
