Major Duties: - Teach general education courses and undergraduate and graduate courses in his or her field(s) of specialization.- Assume the responsibilities of the graduate program advisor for approximately 60 MS and PhD students.- Oversee and grow Core Kids outreach program and contribute to other departmental outreach initiatives.- Support the missions of the Michigan Geological Survey and the Michigan Repository for Research and Education.
Minimum Qualifications: - An earned Ph.D. in geology or a closely-related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. - Three years or more of teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
