Specific Title: Postdoctoral Fellow, Cardiology, Dr. Ankit Desai Lab
Location: IU School of Medicine
Department: IUSM - Medicine - Cardiology
Campus: IU School of Medicine Indianapolis
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ankit Desai to develop projects characterizing the mechanisms of delayed repolarization and cardiac fibrosis in sickle cell cardiomyopathy.
The objective is to define the role of IL-18 signaling in directing the development of these phenotypes.
Dr. Ankit Desai offers an excellent research environment and opportunities for career advancement, and has a strong publication record in mouse genetics, electrophysiology and molecular biology. We routinely employ mouse models of sickle cell disease to elucidate these mechanisms.
